Frequently Asked Questions
What file format should I use?
- 3MF is recommended for Bambu Studio and other modern slicers. It includes color and part information.
- STL is a universal format supported by all slicers. You'll get a zip file with separate STL files for each colored part.
How do I print with multiple colors?
Export as 3MF and open the file in Bambu Studio. Each color layer will appear as a separate named part that you can assign to different filaments.
How can I save my designs?
Click "Share", then click the copy icon. This will place a link to your design on your clipboard. Paste this link somewhere safe on your device. Your entire design is stored in that link. If you make a new design or alter an existing one, copy and paste the link again.
Is WordCAD really free?
Yes! WordCAD is completely free to use for any purpose, with no account required.
Can I use my designs commercially?
Yes! All designs you create with WordCAD are licensed under CC BY 4.0 (Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International). You can use, share, adapt, and sell your designs for any purpose, as long as you credit WordCAD.com somewhere when you share it (e.g. in your product listing, your README, on the flyer at your market booth, etc.).
